Application Guide for 2026-2027 International Undergraduate Students of SISU

. Applicant Eligibility

1.Non-Chinese Citizens in Good Mental and Physical Health

2.Academic Qualifications and Age Requirements

Applicants must have completed high school (or its equivalent) with good academic performance, and be aged between18 and 45.

3. Requirements for China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA)

(1) Test Takers

Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, all applicants for SISU undergraduate programs must take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) prior to submitting applications. CSCA scores are essential for admission evaluation.

(2) Test Subjects

CSCA scores are an important reference for SISU to evaluate applicants' academic abilities. To ensure a smooth application process, it is recommended to take the CSCA as soon as possible and submit the score in time for subsequent review procedures.

Two compulsory subjects are required: Professional Chinese and Mathematics. Applicants for the Chinese Language and Literature program who submit a valid HSK Level 4 score report may be exempted from the Professional Chinese test.

(3) Test Language

The Mathematics test is available in Chinese and English. Applicants may choose the test language version according to the teaching language requirements.

4. Applicants must also meet SISUs comprehensive admission criteria, including academic ability and other relevant qualifications.

Chinese Language and Literature, Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, Journalism, Diplomacy, International Economics and Trade, E-commerce, Tourism Management, etc.

Ⅲ. Fee Standards ( in RMB)

1. The tuition fees: RMB 15000 / year.

2. Application fees: RMB 800 / person. 

3. Insurance fees: RMB 800 / year.

4. Accommodation expenses:

Double room, RMB 600/person/month; 4-Bed room, RMB 300/person/month.

1. Applicants submit their application and upload all required documents via the SISU International Student Service Platform:

2. Applicants must take the CSCA. For details, please visit the official website: www.csca.cn.

3. SISU review the application materials and evaluate the applicants qualifications.

4. Successful applicants receive an admission notice and related enrollment materials by mail.

. Application Documents

1.Scanned Copy of the First Page of the Passport

Applicants must submit a clear scanned copy of the first page of their passport whose validity period should be later than the expected graduation or completion date (September 2030).

2. Notarized Highest Academic Diploma

 If the applicant is a current student, they must submit a certificate of expected graduation or enrollment issued by their attending school (must be in Chinese or English;otherwise, a notarized Chinese or English translation is required).

3. Academic Transcripts

Applicants must provide their academic transcripts from high school to the most recent semestertranscripts must be issued and stamped by the Academic Affairs Office or relevant student management department (must be in Chinese or English;otherwise, a notarized Chinese or English translation is required).

4. Language Proficiency Certificate

Applicants to Chinese-taught programs must submit valid HSK scores that meet the program requirements.

5. China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) transcript

Applicants must submit valid CSCA transcripts before the application deadline.

6. Study or Research Plan in China

A study plan of more than 1,000 words, written in Chinese or English.

7. Recommendation Letters (in Chinese or English Only)

Applicants must submit one recommendation letter issued by their high school, indicating the recommenders institution, professional title, position, and contact information.

8. For applicants under 18 years old, must submit notarized documents of their legal guardian in China.

9. The Physical Examination Form for Foreigners

Applicants must undergo the medical examination strictly in accordance with all the items required in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The form will be considered invalid if any items are missing, if the applicants photo is not attached or lacks a stamped seal across the photo, or if the form does not bear the signature and official seal of both the attending physician and the hospital. The examination results are valid for six months

Applicants must submit a valid Certificate of Non-Criminal Record (must be in Chinese or English;otherwise, a notarized Chinese or English translation is required) issued by the local public security authority, usually within the last 6 months prior to the application submission date.
